Completing projects faster and smarter with Virtual Design and Construction

June 25th, 2020 | 10-11am, PDT

Summary

The Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) framework allows your building team to better work within tight constraints, including time, budget, safety and sustainability. VDC brings together the most modern technologies and process management concepts from multiple disciplines, including design, engineering, construction, specialty trades and more, so that your construction team can anticipate and mitigate risk, improve design accuracy, and accelerate the overall project timeline.
In this webinar, Stanford Professor, Martin Fischer will explain the VDC methodology and show how its application allows project teams to achieve high value for their clients and create rewarding experiences for the project stakeholders.

Martin Fischer

Martin Fischer is a Kumagai Professor in the School of Engineering and Senior Fellow at the Precourt Institute for Energy. Professor Fischer's research goals are to improve the productivity of project teams involved in designing, building, and operating facilities and to enhance the sustainability of the built environment. His work develops the theoretical foundations and applications for virtual design and construction (VDC). VDC methods support the design of a facility and its delivery process and help reduce the costs and maximize the value over its lifecycle. His research has been used by many small and large industrial government organizations around the world.
