About the Speakers

John LillyJohn Lilly is currently a partner at Greylock, as well as on the Board of Directors of Crew, Figma, Angle Technologies, Caffeine, Code for America, and other unannounced investments. Prior to Greylock, John was CEO of Mozilla, the organization behind Firefox, the open source Web browser used by more than 450 million people. He also co-founded Reactivity, an enterprise security infrastructure company acquired by Cisco in 2007, where he served as founding CEO and later CTO. Earlier in his career, John held positions on the executive team at Trilogy Software and as a Senior Scientist in Apple’s research labs. He is currently a Lecturer at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business and was previously a Consulting Assistant Professor at Stanford’s d.school, and an advisor to both the Stanford Technology Ventures Program and StartX, Stanford’s start up accelerator.

Bob SuttonBob Sutton is a Professor of Management Science and Engineering in the Stanford Engineering School. Sutton is also co-founder of the Stanford Technology Ventures Program and the new Hasso Plattner Institute of Design, a multi-disciplinary program at Stanford that teaches and spreads "design thinking". He is an IDEO Fellow, member of the Institute for the Future's Board Trustees, and a Professor of Organizational Behavior, by courtesy, at Stanford Graduate School of Business. Sutton studies the links between managerial knowledge and organizational action, innovation, and organizational performance. He has received many honors, including named as one of 10 "B-School All-Stars" by BusinessWeek in 2007.

Victoria WooHayagreeva Rao is a Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, teaching courses such as Human Resources Management and teaching within two Executive Programs: Stanford and Human Resources. He is widely published in the fields of management and sociology and studies the social and cultural causes of organizational change. His recent work investigates the role of social movements as motors of organizational change in professional and organizational fields. Rao has drawn on his knowledge and expertise to conduct workshops for British Petroleum, McDonald's, Aon, Bristol-Meyers, General Electric, Microsoft, the FBI, and the intelligence community.
