Will Tarpeh

Dr. William Tarpeh is an assistant professor of chemical engineering at Stanford University where he leads The Tarpeh Lab. The lab focuses on developing and evaluating innovative approaches to resource recovery from "waste" waters across several synergistic scales. These scales include understanding molecular mechanisms of chemical transport and transformation, devising novel unit processes to increase resource efficiency, and conducting systems-level assessments to identify optimization opportunities. Professor Tarpeh obtained his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from UC Berkeley. He is a distinguished member of the Bouchet Honor Society, recognized as one of NBCBLK's "28 Under 28" African-American Innovators, and listed in Forbes' "30 Under 30" 2019 Science List.

Will Chueh

Will Chueh is an Associate Professor at Stanford University, leading a research group focused on understanding reactions and transport in energy systems. He directs the SLAC-Stanford Battery Center and Stanford's StorageX Initiative, fostering academic-industrial partnerships. Chueh holds a BS, MS, and PhD from Caltech, and was previously a Distinguished Truman Fellow at Sandia National Laboratories. His accolades include the David A. Shirley Award, Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award, MRS Outstanding Young Investigator Award, and recognition as one of MIT’s “Top 35 Innovators Under 35”. He serves on editorial boards and is Editor-in-Chief of Solid State Ionics.
